Joy to the World (0-6331-9464-6). A good, easy and upbeat piece for Christmas, arranged by Dennis Allen, orchestrated by Dave Williamson, and adapted for the Jubilation Series by David Winkler.

O Worship the King (0-6330-0724-2). Lilting, Celtic feel, using guitar and flute at the beginning, builds to a strong conclusion. Guitar part is very easy, great for involving a guitarist or two with your orchestra.

Praise God -- Doxology (0-7673-0102-1). Contemporary treatment. A best seller. Click here for a video of an excellent performance of this piece.

The Newborn King (0-7673-0115-3). "The First Noel," "Angels We Have Heard on High," and "O Come, All Ye Faithful." An optional part for five-octave handbells is included with the orchestration, making this a great piece to do with orchestra and bells! You Are My All in All (0-6330-3873-3). Dennis Jernigan's popular chorus set in a style reminiscent of the Pachelbel Canon.

Christmas Overture. A traditional medley of four popular carols, scored for full orchestra. It begins with a string quartet playing "Silent Night," followed by a section for woodwinds. Then the brass and timpani sound forth the triumphant sounds of "Joy to the World." A quieter section features an English horn solo in "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear" (cues provided for oboe, clarinet, or soprano sax). The tempo picks up for the ending section with full orchestra based on "The First Noel." Sorry I don't have a recording of this, but here is a PDF of the conductor's score for your perusal. More challenging arrangements for larger groups

Above All (0-6330-9890-6). A powerful arrangement of the popular worship song by Paul Baloche and Lenny LeBlanc. Includes parts of two hymns: "O Sacred Head, Now Wounded," and "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross."

Beautiful Savior (0-6330-1560-1). Written originally for my wedding, has been a best-seller. Now available in a updated, "20th anniversary" edition from Genevox.

Children of the Lord (0-6330-2326-4).A fun and upbeat piece based on several children's songs -- "Deep and Wide," "Praise Him All Ye Little Children," and "Rise and Shine (Arky Arky)". Utilizes several novelty elements, including an optional kazoo choir (played by the orchestra members or by a separate group).

Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing (0-7673-9758-4). For flute or clarinet solo, with orchestra.

Holy, Holy, Holy (0-6330-9872-8). As the chime strikes five o-clock, a lonely trumpet is heard -- "early in the morning, my song shall rise to Thee." Little by little, the music grows and builds to a glorious conclusion as we enter His presence where "all the saints adore Thee." An optional dramatic reading (not heard on the demo recording) is included. NOTE: An optional dramatic reading with organ underscore (not heard on the demo recording) is available as a free download.

Morning Praise (0-6330-9231-2). Based on the hymn, "When Morning Gilds the Skies," this piece is loosely constructed after the famous "Sunrise" from Ferde Grofe's Grand Canyon Suite, starting softly and building to a grand conclusion with full pipe organ.

Silent Night (0-6330-2327-2). A warm and sensitive setting, somewhat reminiscent of the well-known arrangement by Mannheim Steamroller. Includes some nice passages for solo flute.

Wherever He Leads, I'll Go (0-6330-1559-8). Solo for euphonium with orchestra, would also work well with trombone or cello. Written in memory of Gerald Armstrong, a great friend of church instrumental music.

All Creatures of Our God and King (OR-079102). Opens with a statement of the hymn tune by two antiphonal trumpets. Progresses through a series of symphonic developments and ends with a strong figure in the brass. Here's an organ part which was written for this arrangement post-publication (free PDF download).

Jesus Is Calling Medley (OR-39010). "Softly and Tenderly," "Jesus is Tenderly Calling," and "Where He Leads Me, I Will Follow."

Have Faith in God. Features piano, includes a part for optional congregation towards the end. This arrangement was originally published by Genevox, but is now available only from David Winkler Music. Just a Little Talk with Jesus (45757-1289-8) -- from the Benson Orchestra Series. A fun and and novel treatment of the familiar Southern Gospel classic which is sure to set your audience's toes tapping. The opening solo for alto sax is cued in the first trumpet, and other cueings and doublings provide for maximum flexibility. The published CD format includes the orchestra score and parts (PDF documents) and an mp3 demo. $69.95.

All Glory, Laud, and Honor with Hosanna, Loud Hosanna (Praise Song / Hal Leonard #087492306). A festive pairing of two hymns, designed for Easter or general use. Scored for full orchestra (strings optional), this setting is somewhat classical in style, with lots of energy and color. $60.00.

Here I Am, Lord. Dynamic and moving song by Dan Schutte, this arrangement features the string section (though it could be performed without strings). Here's the conductor's score for your perusal, and here is a short audio excerpt. Note in the score that there are two options for the ending, one "quiet" and one "big." Love Divine Medley (SA7207 -- $35.00). Unusual piece depicting rescue from a stormy sea, based on "Love Lifted Me" and two other tunes. Good concert piece (not a typical offertory).

My Tribute (SA7406 -- $40.00). A favorite of years passed. Requires strong lead trumpet.

Praise to the Lord Medley (SA7002 -- $36.00). "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty," "O Worship the King," and "To God Be the Glory."

Praise the Lord (SA7415 -- $36.00). Song made popular by the Imperials.

Prelude to "Te Deum" (SA7590 -- $32.00). Nice Baroque piece, great for wedding, concert, or worship prelude. For solo trumpet version, see listing under "Music for Solo Instrument".

Sing and Rejoice! (SA7201 -- $32.00). Combines two scripture songs, "I Will Sing of the Mercies" and "Rejoice Evermore."

The Lord is My Light (SA7217 -- $36.00). Based on the scripture song by Pauline Michael Mills.

The Name of the Lord with Blessed be the Name (0-80689-31157-4). Fun and upbeat.

Tidings of Joy (0-80689-31457-5). Contemporary-style arrangement (a la David Foster), includes "O Come, O Come Emmanuel," "God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen," and "Joy to the World." Exciting and challenging.

Incidental Music

Majestic Fanfare. A short (90-second) piece for orchestra, written as an overture to a dramatic musical Easter production. $30.00. Order directly from David Winkler Music.

Music for Biblical Drama series (from PSALM 150 Publications). Music originally written as background music for the San Antonio Christmas Pageant. Parts are included for full orchestra, though most of the pieces don't involve everyone playing at once. There are various types of underscore, fanfares, "Hebrew-style" music, etc. (NOTE: I also have more of this type of thing in unpublished form -- let me know if you need something in particular).

Overture for a Biblical Drama (PSALM 150 #SA5521 -- $25.00). An original composition designed to set the mood for a dramatic/musical production based on Old and/or New Testament scenes. Begins with a stirring fanfare, followed by a short melodic section in A minor, and ending with a return of the fanfare theme.
