Discovering Old Treasures
A belated happy new year, everyone! May the Lord bless you this year in a powerful way as you serve Him through your life and through your music.
One of the things I really enjoy is discovering old treasures. It's fun to me to find an intriguing old book or some other item of interest in a thrift shop or antique store. Other times, I find delight in "rediscovering" something that's in my own home, maybe hidden in a box or a closet, that I'd forgotten was there.
Jesus said, "Every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house, who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.” (Matt. 13:52). As Christians, we esteem highly the New Testament, but also find much of value in the Old.
I think finding good music is often like that. While there is always new music coming out, sometimes checking a publisher's catalog for music released in previous years can yield just what is needed for a particular situation. And perhaps, like me, you've found that sometimes a piece of music which in the past did not seem of interest, suddenly becomes relevant as your program needs change. I hope that our website can be a place of old and new discovery for you. I invite you to browse through our listings from time to time to see what you may have overlooked which could work well in your ministry. If you need help in finding music, please let me know. If I haven't created what you're looking for, often I can help in pointing you to another source.
